Notes
AI and intelligence of all kinds for architects, designers, and other Black Collar professionals.
You make the world look the way it does. Architects, interior designers, industrial designers, art directors, creative directors, filmmakers, photographers, fashion designers, graphic designers, landscape architects, set designers, editors, curators, and the fabricators who build it all.
Notes is where 1300g reads the field: the work, the tools, the materials, the money, and the machines now showing up in all four. Some of it is criticism. Some of it is a warning. All of it is meant to put you a step ahead of what you need next.
We are building tools for this crowd. This is where we think out loud first.
Written by Levi Lewis, a poor man’s Edwin Heathcote of the Financial Times. (Sometimes snarky and pretty provocative, but I promise no butt stuff.)

Our pool has a rich, abyssal deep end. We pull from the obscure reaches of the canon and tell you where we found it, but we don’t worship it. The canon is crushingly weighted, and often unfairly. So the shallow end has a baja shelf, where you can sit in six inches of water with a drink and still be in the pool.

We will take an argument apart and still buy its author a drink. The snark is for lazy genres and comfortable consensus. The person who stuck their neck out gets a fair hearing first.
-
This is not reportage. Other people will tell you what happened. We hand you ways of looking at it: a precedent, a term, a metaphor that makes the next building, tool, or deal read differently. Keep the lens and argue with the opinion.
